Higher Education in the Digital Age
"Higher Education in the Digital Age" is a book by William G. Boven (you may read more about it here). I picked up this book from the library just out of curiosity and because of my proximity to all things "Digital" without going through much details about the author or the preface. When I started reading it, I discovered what the book was about and author's purpose and perspective. I will not attempt to write a review or synopsis in this post as it is well documented on the above hyperlink and also as I haven't thoroughly read the book cover to cover. When I picked the book in library, I incorrectly assumed by the cover of the book that it would explore opportunities of higher education in the digital age from a potential student's perspective. Nevertheless it was an interesting read and I most certainly think that in coming decades field of education will go through a major transformation.

Active Listening can change your game :-)
A terribly overweight woman goes to her doctor to get tips on losing her weight, so her doctor puts her on a diet.
The Doctor said, "I want you to eat vegetables and grains for 2 days, then skip a day, and repeat this procedure for 2 weeks. The next time I see you, you will have lost at least 5 pounds."
When the woman returned, she shocked the doctor by losing nearly 20 pounds.
"Wow, that's amazing!" the doctor said, "Did you follow my instructions?"
Yes, the lady nodded her head and continued..."I'll tell you though, I thought I was going to drop dead that third day."
"From hunger, you mean?"
"No, from SKIPPING."
